The front desk staff proved to be extremely helpful in providing assistance and answering all our questions. Going that extra mile out of their way to facilitate our stay both at hotel and out and about the city while being polite and courteous. We found the facilities such as the pool area, showers, changing rooms, corridors and not to mention our room to be spotlessly clean and tidy at all times. And a huge bonus is the playroom opposite the front desk, the kids loved it! Shall certainly stay there again 👌

Renowned for its stunning architecture and the world’s largest fair, Oktoberfest, Munich needs little introduction. Its vibrant cultural scene, great shopping and fantastic museums speak for themselves.
Munich has something for everyone: from historic palaces and castles, to stunning royal avenues to world class galleries and museums. Don't miss the new city hall in the heart of Marienplatz or the former residence of the Bavarian kings, the Residenz. Munich is also home to the world’s most famous beer hall, the Hofbräuhaus.
For great shopping, Karlsplatz is another commercial wonderland square that takes up much of the city centre and the upscale area around Maximilianstrasse. Munich is famous for its food too, so make sure you try the local Weißwurst, Leberkässemmeln and other popular pork dishes.
Thanks to efficient S-Bahn train, getting to the city centre from Germany’s second busiest airport, Munich International Airport is quick and easy. Whether you’re looking for luxury hotels, youth hostels or comfortable apartments, Booking.com has the perfect accommodation for your Munich visit.
Beautiful old city with plenty to see and do. We stayed for 2 days and would happily have stayed longer. I was impressed by the architecture and landmarks, and by the high quality of the museums. However, the wide streets, tram tracks, and road works meant that the city centre was not always very navigable. Next time, I will visit during the off-season, as there were many tourists and the weather was quite hot.

great city, buy a transport ticket at the airport, (I use the desk as I can't work out the machines!) and use the u bahn to get everywhere easily. Do research before you go as to what you want to see most; there is a lot! We go frequently,(family there), often eat at Alter Simpl in Turkenstrasse, but lots of choice. We especially like the Lenbachhaus for art. Also the Viktualienmarkt near the Marienplatz is worth a visit for food and Bavarian souvenirs. Most people speak some English.
Nothing I would avoid, always feel safe even quite late in the evening.

Munich is a big modern city with some historical and interesting sights. The top sights like the Frauenkirche, Rathaus, Residence and Englischer Garten are great but much of the rest has been rebuilt many times so dont come expecting cute medieval buildings.
Food and drink is good and reliable especially if you want traditional. Even the busy tourist places like Hofbrauhaus and Augustiner do decent food and good beer without ripping you off. Maybe a euro here and there more expensive but you are paying for atmosphere. The downside of them being so busy is that service can be brusque. Dont take it personally.
Public transport is usually convenient but fails more often than you might expect with little information provided, even in German. On our last two trips the S-Bahn to the airport has let us down.
We enjoy walking around the historic centre but then use Munich as an entry point for the rest of Bayern which is really worth exploring.

The old town is lovely and lively.
The old town is lovely and lively. The outside dining is attractive. It is easy to visit other Bavarian cities and towns by train. I visited Nuremberg, Bamberg and Regensburg by train and all three were beautiful places.

The areas I visited were very nice and beautiful.
Unfortunately I noticed in the city an lot of stressed and irritated people especially the ones behind the counters in shops and the ones sharing public places in close vicinity. I saw a lot of angry and unhappy faces. I saw arguments in shops between employees in front of the customers. I also noticed a lot of staff in shops who could not speak German or English even to a basic level, people who were not able to understand simple questions and customer requests.

Munich is a lively, vibrant city with history, culture, variety of food and shopping. Public transport is convenient and easy to use.
But I find that at times it can get overly crowded. I did a walk in the morning after breakfast (it was a Sunday) and it was such a pleasant stroll without the crowd.
Very comfortable hotel located in the south west part of Munich. The hotel is located in a quiet area, approximately 25 minutes (with public transportation) far from the city center (Marienplatz) and is very close to the Machtlfinger Straße subway station. The rooms are very clean, well furnished and quiet and soundproof. Free parking slots are available in the streets close to the hotel. The hotel staff is very accommodating, friendly and helpful. Very cost-effective solution for a short stay in Munich.
Excellent location, close to the main station and to public transport, but also in walking distance from the city centre.
It was the second time that we staid at this hotel and it has improved. The forniture in the room was new, the coloured walls make it nicer.
Breakfast is good, for the price (Munich can be very expensive on this aspect). The staff was friendly and helpful. The room was large and very clean.
An affordable, nice place to stay in one of the most expensive cities in Germany.
The hotel is absolutely wonderful - very clean, modern, and offering all the necessary facilities for a comfortable and pleasant stay. The staff is very friendly and the breakfast was delicious! The location is also a huge bonus, as one can easily go for a jog in the nearby Olympiapark or take a stroll till the Nymphenburg Palace. And it also takes only 15 mins to reach the Central Station and city center. I will definitely stay again in this hotel when I'm in Munich. Highly recommended!
Check in was quick, friendly stuff. Comfortable rooms, convenient location, easy to get to the city centre with public transport.
Breakfast was exceptionally good, great variety for every taste.
Wassim Kharoubi on reception made us very welcome and couldn’t help enough.
We were traveling with family from the Ukraine 🇺🇦, hotel had a special rate for refugees, which helped a lot. Definitely can recommend Star G hotel, will be happy to stay there again! Loved Munich!
Angelika :)
Stayed here four nights, visiting our son who lives in Munich. Outside the city centre, but footsteps to the S-Bahn. The hotel has its own parking and spaces are available to guests for a reasonable fee. Fully automated check-in and check-out provide for swift arrival and departure. Clean, cozy and soundproof rooms, very good quality of beds, - ideal conditions for a comfortable stay. Great affordable price, especially for an expensive city like Munich. Approved.
The staff at the reception desk was very friendly during the check-in. In my opinion, the hotel is quite clean in general, good breakfast and very calm at night to sleep very well. Location is not the best for visiting the city centre but in my case was good for being close to the Allianz Arena. Recommended if you visit the stadium for a game. Metro is 20 minutes walking distance and you have a bus in front of the entrance.
we absolutely loved it. the room was beautiful, with such an attention to detail, very clean, close to the city centre.
the staff were very friendly and helpful.
i love the idea of the hotel being like an alpine lodge in the middle of munich.
the breakfast option for vegans was a bit limited but the food was so fresh.
if you have a very big car you might struggle to fit to the car park
The hotel was in a great location, within a 10 minute walk to the Munich Central Station and about a 20 minute walk to Marienplatz.
It is a very stylish hotel and the staff are friendly and helpful. The best thing about this hotel is the breakfast! It’s presented beautifully and it’s excellent!
The room we stayed in was a junior suite that looked out onto a courtyard, so it was quite.
The hotel offers good accommodation for a short trip to Munich or for business related trips. Stuff is helpful and the hotel is located within walking distance to a subway station. The room was clean and complementary water is provided. There are also various grocery shops, bakeries and a pub close to the hotel. You will reach Munich city centre within 15-25 minutes by public transport.
Amazing front desk customer service, who ensured my wife and I knew which are the best places to visit at Munich and how to get around smoothly. As FFP2 mask was a requirement, the hotel had some on standby in case guests need it. Although slightly further away from city centre, this hotel/apartment is a perfect place for a more affordable accommodation with big room space.
Really big room, with huge bed and balcony.
Bathroom was clean and shower had enough space.
Location is very good and quiet - metro line is right next to the hotel and you could get to city center in 10 mins max.
There is also a nice bar, with terrace.
I highly recommend this hotel and we will stay here again if we'll come in Munich again.
This was actually rather better than I had expected for that price. It's not a luxury hotel, but it's central, well-connected, close to both public transport and the central railway station, and has a certain charm. Excellent value for a fairly central Munich hotel.
Excellent stay at the hotel, would highly recommend the staff extremely helpful, nice walk into the city centre but the underground at the doorstep. will be going back shortly. i stay at this hotel every time i visit munich, absolutely wonderful!!!
Very nice hotel near Munich train station, very nice breakfast (wish I had had more time to enjoy it), room was quiet and comfortable despite being in the city centre. I had a very good night's sleep in advance of my early train the next morning.
the hotel was very close to the city center and the central train station. the communication with the staff was alright. we stayed in Munich for less than 24h, so there was not much room for error.
Lovely downtown location in a pretty period building . Inside a classical boutique hotel with art and artifacts , comfortable beds and bed linens . My favorite among the small Munich hotels .
Friendly and helpful staff. The room was a good size and very clean. The hotel is also right next to the train station which makes it easy to get into Munich city centre. We had a great stay.
The hotel is located in the city centre (no need to take a car/public transport to visit the center).
The staff is really nice and the hotel car park it's really useful (it's also cheap)
it was conveniently located to the Munich city center. The hotel was extremely clean, great restaurant, accommodating and friendly staff, great facility. highly recommend!
